Nick Coleman

Chief Strategist/CEO

One of my favorite mantras, both personally and professionally is by Nelson Mandela, “If you want the cooperation of humans around you, you must make them feel they are important, and you do that by being genuine and humble.”

I believe creating a great message is about the ability to put yourself in your client’s shoes. Being able to understand their problems and provide timely solutions is key to eliminating their pain points.

What is it that only you do that nobody does better? Our primary focus is to create a message that makes you stand out in the market. We relish the opportunity to bring our clients’ voice and vision for their companies to the surface to help them create high levels of success in their respective industries.

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you” Dr. Maya Angelou

Storytelling has captivated me since I was a child. Being an avid reader nurtured my desire to learn about and experience the world through others’ eyes and voices. Stories are the bridge that connect humanity regardless of our geographical location, time, and culture.

Through travel and life as a polyglot, I have come to understand that this world is much smaller and connected than I realized. Learning four languages and traveling to over 40 states and 11 countries, has taught me about the importance of words, their etymology, and the powerful ways we use those words to tell our stories.

In 2016, I became an International Bestselling co author on Amazon and was able to pay my love of reading forward by sharing a glimpse into my experience battling cancer. Being able to share my story around the world has brought me full circle. In digital marketing, we are the bridge between clients, the online arena, and their customers. As a Brand Translator, I am able to partner with our clients, take their unique brand story and translate it to their intended audiences via social media and various platforms to help drive brand recognition.

Graphic Designer

As a child, I loved drawing—rock stars, comic book characters, goofy cartoons, you name it. Eventually, I discovered a passion for graphic design and branding and haven’t looked back. From nerding out over logos to writing brand scripts, I love using creativity to help brands not just sell but connect.

Branding is so much more than making your business look good. It’s about communicating to the world who you are and why you do what you do. With so many options available, people need a reason to care about your brand. That’s why I work to make sure everything I do for our clients has clear strategy and storytelling behind it.

Graham Skaggs

Storytelling Strategist

As Digital Blue Beagle’s Storytelling Strategist, I’m passionate about creating brands that tell compelling stories. By focusing on your brand’s unique story, we create video marketing that drives traffic, increases sales, and leaves a strong impression.

I first picked up a camera in 2013. I’ve learned a lot about shooting video since then. I learned how to put someone at ease in front of a camera, the best techniques for lighting a subject, how to edit, and even how to animate graphics. Long story short . . . I learned that there’s a lot that goes into making a video good, but that there’s only one thing that makes a video great: story.

Back then I thought story was a tool for writers and filmmakers to engross an audience in a narrative. Man was I wrong. Story is about so much more than that. Story is the universal language of meaning, a sense-making mechanism for action. It imbues your life with meaning, moves us to tears, and motivates us to action. What’s more, good brands immerse audiences in story. Apple, Nike, Coke . . . These brands didn’t succeed because they sold a good product. They succeeded because they told a good story. And that’s what we strive to do for the brands we work with.

LR Kindel

I started writing as soon as I could hold a crayon. While other kids were outside riding bikes, I was reading and writing in my room in front of my oversized bookcase that included dictionaries and the complete World Book Encyclopedia series. As the child of an airline pilot and adventurous mother, I experienced new words, stories, and cultures firsthand, with my first great word and language experience at the British Museum at the age of 9 when I parked myself in front of the Rosetta Stone so I could contemplate its mysteries.

My Honors English Teacher at Danville High School, Mrs. Virginia Biles, showed me how to measure and weigh the impact of words during my junior year. Her lessons on haiku alone forever changed how I wrote poetry and headlines.

As I aged, I discovered the influence of words, whether written or spoken. One word could change a sentence. Two words could strengthen a paragraph. Different pronunciations could change the very meaning of a discussion. Inflection could influence an argument. I applied all of this to my work in advertising to evoke different emotions, responses, and outcomes on all manner of products and services.

As digital advertising evolved, so did my copywriting; I learned to pair words with images to lift advertising to a 3-D entity. The right words can bring an ad to life to become more than just a mediocre sales pitch. Living words can make an ad work, for you and in general.

For me, copywriting is an adventure in word and story exploration. Let’s explore the ways to tell a great story together.

Abdul Wahab

Web Developer

I have always been an Engineer at heart, growing up watching Bob the Builder made me fall in love in creating new things. I started coding in high school and realised how cool it is to create and share your work to the whole world.

I love working with the design team and visualizing their amazing designs through my code. My moment of happiness is when our clients open their site for the first time and go “Wow” over how beautiful, seamless and pixel perfect their site has become.
